Lögberg-Heimskringla is open to non-fiction submissions of interest to people of Icelandic descent and Icelandophiles across North America and in Iceland, covering many areas, including:
- community news (varies — check with the editor)
- opinion pieces (600 – 800 words)
- book reviews (500 words)
- movie reviews (500 words)
- music reviews (150 – 200 words)
- historical pieces (500 – 1000 words)
- personal interviews (500 – 600 words)
Local Events
LH is always looking for ways to create community involvement. We rely on people to report on their club events and to send us photographs and illustrations. You don't need to be a professional photographer. We’re happy to tell LH readers about events - let us know in advance and also tell us how your event went. Also, let us know about individuals of Icelandic background even though they're not in a local club. Sharing information creates community.
