Join Icelandic Roots for the Friday Forum, an afternoon of stories, heritage, and community from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. The event takes place on the eve of the groundbreaking for the Icelandic Rootshús (see below). The forum celebrates the legacy of Icelandic immigrants who settled in the region beginning in 1878.

Icelandic Roots official groundbreaking ceremony for the Icelandic Rootshús, a 4,395 sq. ft. heritage interpretive center at 1 p.m. This is a historic moment in North American Icelandic heritage.
