Gimli, MB: The Gimli Icelandic Canadian Society will be holding a Tombola on Sunday afternoon, September 28, 2025 at Minerva Hall. Doors open at 2:00 PM.  This is an afternoon of fun and games for All Children and their Families. Tombola is a long-standing tradition in our Community.  It came from Iceland with our earliest pioneers.  It is held annually at the Minerva Hall as a fundraiser for the Gimli Icelandic Canadian Society.  It`s an afternoon of games, music, dancing and prizes.  We welcome everyone:  all children, families, and seniors of Gimli and the surrounding areas.  Invite your neighbours; bring your friends, tell your cousins.
 GICS is soliciting donations of ‘items’ to be used as prizes for the Tombola. Household paraphernalia, toys, anything you no longer need around your home but someone else would be pleased to win as their Tombola prize.

 We will also need volunteers the day of the Tombola, both for the initial set up, and to work at the event. We plan to be at Minerva Hall by 9am the day of the Event.
As always, we will also need baking for the afternoon coffee.
