Book launch by historian Rolf Buschardt Christensen at the Creamery Parlour Café in Markerville, Alberta. The book, Churning Butter is about Christian Marker and his work in helping Alberta District farmers establish dairies. “Among many others, he helped the farmers of the Icelandic settlement of Tindastoll establish a viable creamery. In appreciation for his help they changed the name of their settlement to Markerville.” This free event starts at 2:30 p.m.
