30 Mar: In the Arms of Angels – Janet Lewis Anderson.

In the book, In the Arms of the Angels, Janet Lewis Anderson journals as her mother becomes progressively more debilitated by Alzheimer’s disease. In this very personal account, Janet communicates her feelings of love and gratitude as she becomes totally immersed in caring for her mother. The chronicle is interspersed with poignant moments from the author’s happy childhood. The feelings of thankfulness and tenderness for her mother overpower the setbacks and exhaustion she experiences as her mother declines. This book about kindness and love will help others deal with the sadness of losing a loved one to dementia.
